Stage Manager, Cory Mckenzie was playing
in theater throughout her childhood thanks to
actor parents. This eventually lead her and her
sister Ty to open Stage Werx Theatre in San
Francisco. After many years attending Burning
Man with incredible life changing experiences,
she found herself stage managing the S.F. Teatro
Zinzanni Burning Opera back in 2009. Combining
two of her ultimate loves in life, Burning Man
and Theater. Now Cory once again finds herself
in mid, mind blowing transformation as this L.A.
Burning Opera, Strange Weather plays out before
her very eyes. Gratitude abounds, love
permeates, tribes and connections envelop, minds
are being blown. Thank you everyone for this
amazing trip we’re on.

Liat Levy’s life experiences are all mixed in
with her wonderful, exciting clothing designs.
She was born and raised in Israel, joined the
Israeli military at the age of 18 and at the age
of 20 left her native home, shaved her head and
went to South America to “find” her art and an
outlet for her creative spirit. Her practical
side later led Liat to earn a BA in Behavioral
Science and Communication at the College of
Management in Tel-Aviv, Israel, and then spend
five years working in commercial real estate and
land development in breathtaking Hawaii.
Still Liat’s true passion lay within the arts. A

Vocalist/Puppeteer, Troy Guthrie is a Virgin!
... ”Do I have your attention?”...Yes a virgin, No
not in the most poetical sense of the word, but a
virgin to the Playa nonetheless. “It’s not like I
have chosen to avoid the desert or even had the
opportunity to go, it’s just that my path hasn’t
taken me there...yet”. From the early age of 10 Troy
has found a home on the stage, performing in
musicals and at the time struggling to be a child
actor in LA. Now, after 14 years of experience
singing & acting, a B.A. in Vocal Performance from
Chapman University, classical operatic training,
more musicals, some operas, and Troy finds himself
as a struggling actor in LA, “I wouldn’t change a
thing!”. If you are reading this bio and asking
yourself where have I seen this guy before, let me
tell you.... You might have seen Troy as Brad Majors
in Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show, or his
most recent performance of Sweet Charity as the
claustrophobic and goofy Oscar Lindquist. If you
fancy the moving pictures you can look for Troy in
the upcoming new releases; a Paranormal Activity-esque
horror film Hunting Grounds, or the classic 80’s
campy (and Pope’s favorite) Bloody Bloody Bible
Camp, and the hot Hot HOT Agua Caliente. Two years
ago Troy gave up whatever bit of a social life he
had left to don a producers cap. It started with the
feature length film Hunting Grounds, and this summer
continues with a complete 180-degree genre change, a
family adventure film called David’s Dinosaur. Thank
you for coming out tonight, for supporting our
production, and for unshackling the burner within so
they could come party with us! |
Vocalist/Instrumentalist,
Crystal Keith was born and raised in the
dynamic gospel music tradition of Southern
California, Crystal earned her stripes early,
then ran away to study serious music (opera,
jazz) and serious theater (Shakespeare, Ibsen)
in serious places (Boston, London.) She got home
and chucked it all to be in rock bands – for a
while - but theater is a strict mistress and
Crystal was shortly back in her service. Recent
shows have included “Louis and Keely: Live At
the Sahara” at The Geffen Playhouse, Theatre
Movement Bazaar’s “Model Behavior; i.e. The
Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” at The
RedCAT and the World Premiere staging of “Frank
Zappa’s Joe’s Garage.” Crystal also fronts two
classic rock bands, works as an art model, does
yoga, chants and likes to play with her sewing
machine. She makes her home downtown with her
man and their dog.

Vocalist/Instrumentalist, Lai-Si Fernandez
is a unique mixture of cultures and her see the
world gypsy spirit has shaped her sound. She
traveled to Havana..A city forbidden, full of
mystery that held the story of her origins. She
went with a dream of discovering her past and
uncovering her future by recording Two Worlds
One Sound at Abdala Studios with some of the
most talented musicians the city had to offer.
Two worlds collided and even though the lyrics
were in English she became the first
Cuban-American to be played on the radio in
Havana. Miami was her stomping ground as a
member of The Cornerstoners (Conscious Hip Hop
Fusion Band) for 2 and a half years.Always on
the move Lai-Si has toured Europe, Colombia,
Cuba and the southeast coast across the I-10 to
LA where she resides, for now. Lai-Si has been
able to produce 2 Albums and 4 Tours as an

Productions. She's excited about her new venture
with Strange Weather. Free spirited, vivacious

go, chasing horizons without compromising
herself or her art. Her goal is human connection
at a soul level through art…spreading a message
of unity and love.

Vocalist/Instrumentalist, Renfey (aka Lesa
Hardy-Bergeaud) is a singer, songwriter and
performer– a renegade word slayer and music
marauder often caught lusting after melody and
entangled in a waltz of song. She bows in humble
gratitude to the extraordinary people and
experiences in her life. From the vibrant music
and art scene of California to the iconic
gathering at Burning Man to the music festivals
of West Africa to occasionally running off with
the circus - passionate creativity are indelibly
part of her being. “Deep gratitude for being a
part of this amazing show and ensemble cast…

Vocalist/Puppeteer, Aryiel Hartman is a silly
bitch who clowns around with the likes of Lucent
Dossier and Sypher Court Studios. Most recently she
was seen in the movie "Water for Elephants" with a
certain teen heartthrob between her legs (anything
for a role, I tell ya). On a more personal note,
this year will be her very first year attending
Burning Man. She is so very grateful for this whole
process and most importantly for the blinky, blinky
stars involved with it. (Why do we all write these
like we have our own private secretaries?). |
Vocalist/Instrumentalist,
Lance Crow’s musical journey began with the AM
radio hits of the1970s, his parents’ Neil
Diamond records, and the original Star Wars
soundtrack (which he swears he had completely
memorized at one point). He spent formative time
in a Midwestern show choir, years before
“Gleeks” ever existed. He later survived the
perils of Boston’s famed Berklee College of
Music, playing in several rock bands, composing
music for films and sketch comedy troupes, and
driving to San Diego without air conditioning.
Lance does not play Angry Birds, but thinks he
may have been one in a past life.

way when she decided to go into theatre. A

WENDY
DOYLE - I come from a long line of women with a
fascination for clothing construction all the way
back to my great grandmother. I guess its just in my
blood to find that hidden treasure at a second hand
store, to seek out a vintage shop on a faraway
street corner or let my imagination run wild to
create each one of kind piece. My adventures in
clothing design have taken me through the
underground art scene, the high fashion world of
magazine photo shoots, a tour through Tokyo, the
Olympic Games, entertaining the US Troops, Burning
Man and the burgeoning festival scene throughout
California. And I have spent many years in Los
Angeles as a wardrobe stylist, makeup artist and
consultant. I realized early on, that I could
transform my mood, my sense of self, my feelings of
romance or adventure, by merely adorning my body
with the colors, textures and shapes of clothing.
Gypse Couture clothing was created from my hearts
desire to share transformational clothing with
others. I am so excited and grateful to be part of
the Burning Opera experience and help to bring this
magical world to life! |
